He’s baaaaaack! Montreal area cake artist Mark Desgroseilliers is returning to the Ottawa Valley on Saturday, May 5th, 2012 to teach his spin on an increasingly popular decorating technique – Woven Tuft Cakes.

In this full day class, students will learn how to execute a two-tiered cake using the tufting technique that is taking the cake world by storm! Students will cover a two-tiered display cake in fondant, use silicone molds to make the decorations for their cakes, and will also learn how to make a beautiful stenciled fantasy flower. Cost is $200 which includes 2 cake dummies, cake drum, fondant, gum paste, and all required tools. Light lunch is included.

Registration must be made by April 27th. Please note, students should be able to cover cakes with fondant in order to register.

Location

The class will be held in Carleton Place, Ontario, which is about half an hour west of Ottawa, the capital city of Canada. Carleton Place is about a four hour drive from the Toronto area, and two and a half hours from Montreal. If you are planning on flying, you will need to fly into Ottawa International Airport, and will likely need to rent a car or arrange to share one with somebody.  Contact Lorrie if you need help with hotel information.
